What to Expect at Your Consultation
Your Plastic Surgery Consultation in Bryn Mawr, PA
At Claytor Noone Plastic Surgery in the greater Philadelphia area, we believe the first step to having an exceptional plastic surgery experience is a comprehensive cosmetic consultation. A plastic surgery consultation allows Dr. Claytor to introduce himself to you and our practice, understand your unique needs and desires, and work with you to develop a procedure plan. Your entire consultation will take about an hour. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect during your consultation with us.
1. Arrival
When you arrive, you will be greeted by our Patient Coordinator, Gina Langeland. Gina will take your temperature and vitals and ask you a few questions about your health.
2. Procedure video
Next, you will be escorted to our consultation room where we will invite you to relax and view an informational video about the procedure in which you are interested. This video will answer many of your questions and perhaps bring up more that you will want to discuss with Dr. Claytor.
3. Meet Dr. Claytor
After you’ve finished watching your procedure video, you’ll meet with board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Claytor. Dr. Claytor will discuss your unique concerns and goals with you in detail to create a plan to meet your realistic expectations. During this time, you will also learn about Dr. Claytor’s board certifications, experience, and the professional societies of which he is a member. Additionally, you will meet our expert staff that will comprise your care team.

4. Pre-op photos
Next, you’ll enter one of our exam rooms where you will change into a surgical gown. We will then take your pre-op photos so that Dr. Claytor can reference them for your procedure and so that you will be able to compare your before and after results following your procedure.
5. Dr. Claytor’s assessment
After your pre-op photos have been taken, Dr. Claytor will meet with you in the exam room to review your treatment areas and discuss the risks and expected results of your procedure. You will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Claytor any questions you have about your procedure and recovery during this time.
6. Schedule your procedure
Finally, you will meet virtually with our Practice Coordinator, Debbie Lander. You and Debbie will schedule your procedure (if you’re ready) and go over any last details, including where your procedure will be performed, costs and fees, as well as financing options should you desire to finance your procedure. You’ll also have the opportunity to view before and after photos that aren’t published on our website.
Don’t worry if you have more questions after your initial consultation—we are always happy to schedule a secondary consultation or a phone call to answer any additional questions and/or address any concerns you may have.
